Payment should be made payable to Surge Productions the day of the actual performance, unless other prior arrangements have been made. A retainer in the amount of one third of the fee, is require by Surge Productions.
- Transportation
If SURGE PRODUCTIONS gives advance notice to PURCHASER travel will be by air, the PURCHASER shall, at his expense, provide GROUND TRANSPORTATION for SURGE PRODUCTIONS and entourage of seven (7) people. Two mini-vans for SURGE PRODUCTIONS are required for transport of luggage, and instruments between airport, hotel, concert venue and return to airport upon departure. Top
- Accommodations
Hotel accommodations may be required for out of the area venues. If PURCHASER is providing HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS, a minimum of five (5) double rooms are required.
- Hospitality
- UPON ARRIVAL:
Various foods and snacks consisting of: sandwich meats, various cheeses,
breads, crackers, condiments, fruits, etc.- DRESSING ROOM:
PURCHASER shall provide (1) comfortable and private DRESSING ROOM, adequate for use by seven (7) people. In dressing room, PURCHASER shall provide refreshments in quantities Top
sufficient for seven (7) people:
COLD beverages consisting of:
-1/2 gallon of fruit juices
-1 case of iced soft drinks
-Unlimited ice water
-Fresh brewed hot coffee and hot tea (with fresh milk, cream, lemon, honey, and sugar)- HOT MEAL AT SOUND CHECK:
PURCHASER WILL PROVIDE A HOT MEAL FOR seven (7) PEOPLE TO BE READY AT THE TIME OF SOUND CHECK. The meal shall include the following:-Main course (chicken is preferable)-Soup-Various salads-Bread-Modest supply of deserts
Surge Productions reserves the right to promote and sell the bands CD's and T-shirts at events. This may not apply for private functions. One CD will be provided by Surge Productions for promotional use upon request.
Professional video and/or photography require a signed release form from Surge Productions. Release forms are available upon request. Top
6. Outdoor Performance Provisions
Outside performances should include a covered stage and proper electrical grounding. Surge Productions shall be paid in full, rain, or shine. However, if there are dangerous weather conditions, the band will not be required to perform.
There should be sufficient electrical power for all amplifiers and lighting systems. Purchaser shall provide the following band equipment at his sole expense and at no cost to the SURGE PRODUCTIONS.
- STAGE
- Sturdy wooden stage of minimum size twenty-five feet (25') wide by twenty
feet (20') deep- Must be accessible in a manner other than through the audience
- Professional stage lighting system with qualified operator and an assortment
of brightly colored gels (SEE LIGHT PLOT)- One (1) bar stool
- Provisions to hang a backdrop: 20 ft high x 30 ft long
- Water on stage or performers
- PA SYSTEM
- High quality stereo PA system suitable for the venue, sufficient in size to provide good coverage to all parts of the concert hall or auditorium. Compact, active-controlled systems are preferred, such as EV Deltamax or Turbosound TMS4.
- 2.5 kw system for a 500 seat venue, plus 1 kw per additional 500 seats.
- As the set is very quiet in places, it is essential that the system and monitors are totally free of all hiss and hum. Top
- MIXING DESK
- Should be CENTRALLY LOCATED IN THE AUDITORIUM
- It should be of professional quality
- 24-channel, stereo (i.e. Soundcraft or Yamaha)
- Should feature 4-band channel equalizer
- Preferably parametric, but with a minimum of two sweep-able bands
- 4 pre-fade
- Post equalizer
- Auxiliary sends for monitors
- 2 post-fade sends for effects.
- GRAPHIC EQUALIZERS
- 31-band equalizers are required for house left & right and also for each separate monitor send
- Klark Teknik or Yamaha are preferred
- EFFECTS
- 2 digital reverbs (Lexicon or Yamaha)
- Four channels of compression
- Available for channel insert
- RECORDING DECK-
PROMOTER must provide one: Top- 1st choice: DAT DECK
- 2nd choice: CASSETTE DECK
- Wired to record and replay
- CD PLAYER
- MONITORS
- 6 IDENTICAL TRUE MONITOR WEDGES of high quality
- 1 x 15" + horn type
- Wired into four (4) mixers, each with a 32-band graphics, as shown on the stage plan.
- Where on-stage monitor mixing is provided, a monitor engineer familiar with acoustical music will be required.
- MICROPHONE STANDS
- 8 mic stands, all with boom arms
- changes to equipment-
Any change or substitution to the above sound requirements must be verified by a Power Surge Productions representative
- Cancellations more than 72 hours prior to Surge Productions expected arrival time, and without rescheduling, will result in the forfeit of deposits made.
- In the case of cancellations with fewer than 72 hours, and without rescheduling, Surge Productions expects to be paid in full.
- In the case of cancellations, Surge Productions will attempt to work with the purchaser to choose a mutually acceptable reschedule date. Top
